We make wholesome delicious, seasonal food available for takeaway or catering delivery. By doing so, we can provide meaningful work for people facing barriers to employment.

We are:

• part of an award-winning social enterprise – we were thrilled to win Australia’s Best Small Social Enterprise Award in 2015, Australia’s Best Large Social Enterprise in 2020 and Best Social Enterprise at the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards 2023!
• not owned by anyone – we are an initiative of the Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative (NCEC or Nundah Co-op) and all staff are members
• a not-for-profit registered charity
• inclusive – some staff sit on our Board along with expert advisors to make important decisions about how we run the business.

We know that to keep you coming back for more, the quality of our food must be outstanding – and it is! As we don’t receive any permanent funding, we rely upon our great food and quality service to survive and thrive. In fact, Espresso Train Café is consistently one of the highest-rated cafes on Brisbane’s northside. Our tasty food is all made from scratch on the premises.
