DESCRIPTION:Bring in a new box of cereal and we’ll swap it for a free coffee on Tuesday 18th June “Cereal for Coffee Day”. \nONE IN FIVE AUSTRALIAN KIDS GO TO SCHOOL HUNGRY.\nEither by choice or because of their home situation. This reduces kids’ capacity to learn\, robbing them of two hours of essential learning time every day. \nIf a child goes to school hungry once every week\, the loss in learning time is equivalent to one term each year. \nCereal for Coffee support breakfast clubs to give breakfast to school students who’d otherwise miss out. \nBreakfast Club Highlight: Kids Village Early Childhood Centre (Woodridge)\n“Thanks to Cereal for Coffee we have been providing The Breakfast Club for the children at Kids Village for close to a year now and it is so valued by all of us. \nThe children that come for Before School Care get to head off for their day of learning with a full belly and it means that the parents can get through the busiest part of the day with the peace of mind that their children will be fed as well as cared for. \nFor the children in day to day care at the centre\, we know that they have the best start to their day also and we can enjoy the learning that unfolds together.” \nJeanne Wilson\, Centre Manager \n
